Modern Talking only released one single from their sixth album In The Garden Of Venus, which was the track “In 100 Years…”. It was Modern Talking’s final release before their split later in 1987. it reached #4 in the Spanish single chart and #30 in the German singles charts.
The song is about a person who believes that the current lack of empathy and understanding may lead to a dystopian future in which feelings, including love, are illegal, and in which expressions of romance and humanity will be only a distant memory.
The 12″ In 100 Years… also features the Long Version (Future Mix) and Part 1 & Part 2. The maxi-single is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver marbled vinyl.
